So who is going to spill the beans then? Dave ran ok in race one, DNF race 2 I believe, and then I won't mention 3 and 4. Sarah Jordan won! Wal was out and about, but what on?

Good start with new engine, then lost front end at gooseneck in race 2 whilst flat out in 4th. All the grass has gone due to work to move barriers back. Its now all rough stuff. The bike cartwheeled and came to rest upside down. It was trashed. Worked until 10pm with all sorts of borrowed bits to get it back out on Sunday. Heroic efforts from the likes of Wal and Rob Wittey. I had complete borrowed front end. It was OK but I didn't push, just circulated, plus was down on power (query all the oil and crap in carbs plus old end can) and getting mullered by most on straights only to come up behind them in corners. Didn't have the confidence to push hard for overtakes.

Will be back on it for Brands, probably with a Gixer front end.

Expensive weekend I'm afraid.

Sarah was flying and thoroughly deserved her win. Andy Angell also got a great win but then got a bit enthusisatic in the next one and took out Budgie. Sarah was already ahead of them so didn't win by default.

Regards
A battered and bruised Haddock.

Cripes Dave, didn't realise it was that bad. I was still holding fifth when I went down there last year, by the sounds of it, I escaped nice and lightly!

Its good to hear that peeps came to your rescue, thats one of the things I really appreciate about the club racing scene, complete comradeship. Really gutted I wasn't there, unfortunately work called, as it is for the next couple of weekends as well.

So I am going to miss the GP round at Brands, I am distinctly unchuffed at that I can assure you.

Hope the bruises are not too bad, get copious amounts of Arnica cream rubbed in, trust me, it works.

Yes, loads of pull off the line, but you have to use it properly i.e. not rev the nuts off it but use the additional grunt. The corners definitely arrive quicker. Plus the slipper clutch is a hoot but takes some getting used to! I was only just beginning to get a feel for the package when I binned it. Its the braking zones I was struggling with, but that'll come as I get used to the slipper clutch and additional speed. Everyone who has upgraded has taken a few meetings to up their speed.

Gixer front end, brembo m/c, and steering damper now being added. the bill is mounting, but what the hell, you only live once!

David

Hope you get it sorted, its a while before you are out to play again is it not?

Oh, and did you manage to get the spacers off James for me? I may well be needing them very very soon Very Happy

Not too bad for me. Trying out a carby SV while I fix the RG but it went OK really. Saw Dave crash and missed out on copious beers whilst fixing his bike but was pleased with the result.

Sunday first race was a mare and i ran off at the bottom of the hill after the gooseneck but managed to stay up and finish [last].

Last race was v good.

lap times down a second or two on last year but not surprising as not much track time.

The new RG500 [now using the 400 engine for spares] will be at Pembrey with the SV in reserve.

Cheers

I noticed some pictures of a dodgy looking SV with a Wal on board. Laughing

Sorry about the off track excursion you had mate, but, at least you stayed upright and finished unlike someone else I could mention.

Ah, well when I have some free time, and thats a very scarse commodity in my life just now, I shall be out and about. The bike is going on a track day as soon as I can get some time off and booked on. Then, I am going to grace the tarmac at a race meeting somewhere, probably not with Bemsee though. Will let everyone know when I can work it all out.

And did you get my spacers Dave?

Dave, I have a K4 injected model but have carby wheel for spare on te front. So I need the spacers that fit for the old carb model wheel to the injected one. Can you also see if they do a spacer instead of using the speedo drive housing?

Why Hyabusa wheels then, thought you would have gone for lightweight jobbies?

You can strip all the junk off the speedo drive leaving just a spacer its only plastic around the outside of a small sleeve.
