Putting aside the obvious similarity in riding ability and injuries it would appear that they both have an uncanny ability to avoid 10 second penalties
Great season and lots of fun....maybe renew battles next season.

I hope that we can renew battles next season Dave. Its turned out to be a wonderful season, all the better for having decent company around.
I got there in the end, something I didn't think was going to happen. If it hadn't been for your misfortune in Wales, I may not have got past you.
I am elated to have finished 7th, but 2 more points and I would have been sixth. Why did he have to keep following me round?
As for little Jon, it was great to see him out there. Obviously struggling, but at least he had a good time of it. Not sure about his avoidance of a penalty though, tell me more? _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

In the last race, Jon was braking for Druids before most of us had engaged first gear! I exagerate obviously, but definitely a jump start as Jon was himself quick to point out. I have to confess to having a giggle in my helmet as we set off Obviously not spotted but who cares, the racing was good and I think good for both of us to be out there playing after our misfortunes.
ps Wal is already having second thoughts and my bike is NOT for sale. _________________ Feel the Fear....AND DO IT ANYWAY!

Few, thought I was going to be on my lonesome next season. Bet we get forced into Dynapros though. According to Red Wine, that will be good for us!
I confessed to a roll on the start in the first race, that wasn't spotted either. Nor was the blatant jump start in the last race by those two light blue bikes, culminating in my going very backwards and one of them out of the race. If the other one had gone, I would have finished 6th in the championship, or if they had got the rightful 10 second penalty. Thats racing for you I suppose. _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

I couldn't believe it when I did that, never jumped a start before but I did stop briefly as soon as I realised... did they notice this or was it just they missed the jump start
Did struggle all weekend perhaps I shouldn't have gone back for the last round after all the time out, but then again I secured the 3rd by 101 points and am well chuffed (no pun intended there Mr Chuffster )
Has been an amazing season, nothing like I expected and hope to see you all out there next year and of course keep in contact! |

Looking forward to catching up with you at the dinner dance/awards thingy at the end of the season Jon.
Perhaps it was a bit early to come back, but you did yourself proud, nothing to be ashamed about. _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

Chuffster,
there's something else I didn't win this year and that is 'Funniest Moment of the Season'.
Apparently there was this bloke who went to a race meeting, paid all his entries, did practice......then forgot to out in the actual race.......
Who could that be then?

That would be me, I decided to err on the side of caution though and not risk myself in the first race..........
Ok, I bodged up, paying too much attention to a visitor and missing the tannoy call, not that you could hear it anyway. A learning curve that one, and one that has not been repeated. _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

suppose. |
You are never on your own at a race weekend
I started out with just me my bike and a van never felt lonly there was always someone to help or drink with
Even at North gloucester last year
Knew no one so started a Party on my own
Was not on my own for long.
And yes Dyno pro would be good I should of done it last year instead of club
If i ever race again it will be back in the Supermon even if i start at the back again I learnt so much more at National level.
And the longer race format is so much better (IMO) it is much more fun than a sprint to the line. But you have all heard this before from me so i will shut up now _________________ Life's a bitch and i aint through with her yet
