Chuffster,
Turns out I didn't need to grease the trhrottle cables, all I needed to do was move the throttle assemble a couple of mm and it snaps shut just like it should!
Obviously its a bit sensitive to cable positioning. Worth knowing for future reference.
Your bike OK now?
