Had a call from Chuffster last night, he was taken off his 636 Sad . Bike is apparently mullered, he's ok apart from a few aches & bruises and his kit is mullered along with the bike but at least he's in one piece.

Sounds like he was sideswiped and hit 2 other cars in the process, the car that hit him did not stop. Evil or Very Mad

He's unlikely to be around for a few days as a result.

Bike rescue operation was carried out last night using Thunderbird 10 by biggus & Chief Wobbler

Update - Tue Sep 20, 2005 8:34 am.
Chuff was kept in overnight with his leg elevated to try & help the swelling subside. Also his right hand is in plaster as he has fractured a bone in his hand - not sure which bone - from description sounds like either the pisiform bone, Lunate Bone or the Triquetrum Bone. Will confirm when I know. By sounds of it the plaster is more to protect it from being knocked than to hold in place. Have passed on best wishes.

Update - Tue Sep 20, 9:50 am.
Chuff is being picked up from hospital today apparently. He's up and walking (hobbling) today so that's a postive sign. I'm sure he'll appreciate visits & calls in due course. Will keep you all posted

Update - Tue Sep 20, 11:00 am.
Chuff is out of hospital, hand in plaster and a crutch to aid walking. If anyone wants to contact him, PM me for his number

Update - Tue Sep 20, 8:00 pm.
Just spoken to Chuff on the phone, sounds a lot brighter this evening and he's walking better now & going back to work tomorrow.
