Semi-synthetic....cheap....its a tractor.

You're going to change it fairly regularly, warm the engine up before you go on track, so it doesn't need to be trick stuff for either high performance or life/heat cycles (which the engineers here tell me is a much bigger factor than how quickly it whizzes around).

I've hear fully-synthetic can play havoc with clutches.

Semi Synth is fine but any recomendations as to brand or does it not really matter.

I wouldn't worry, just avoid anything that's megabucks.

Perhaps best to avoid Flora or Crisp 'n Dry Very Happy Very Happy

since you have mnentioned morris, you have to be concerned more with the oil grade suitable for the weather conditions you are in, so have a good read at this and make your own judgement chuffy, my ol china http://www.morrislubricants.com/

any brand is good as long as you pick the correct grade / weight.
