|
|
Sorry guys more questions.
I need to hire a van to carry up to two motorbikes plus clothing kit for two to a couple of track days in the north (Oulton Park is now on my agenda for 2006!) and also to get the bikes sent to Spain.
Do I need a long wheel base transit or will a standard one do? Anything special I need to ask (such as requiring tie down loops in the floor / walls) when hiring the van?
Also what is the best place to buy a ramp to load the bikes into the van.
Thanks guys and no, Chuff, I do not want to buy your old van yet! |

Oulton Park mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm excellent circuit
and std wheel base tranny should do you should not need long wheel base as long as when you say kit you are not talking spare wheels genny paddock stands clothing etc then it would be a bit tight. _________________ Life's a bitch and i aint through with her yet

Many thanks Red W.
I have never done oulton before due to distance and getting time away, but have been persuaded by a client of mine to give it a go with him. |

My old tranny was long wheelbase and you could fit 3 bikes in at a real squeeze but also kit. Now I have the transporter I can get get 2 bikes in plus all kit. Its a bit of a squeeze but then I take loads of stuff. You would be fine with a short wheelbase van mate, you dont take as much clobber as me.
You could always invest in a 2 bike trailer and take the kit up in the range rover. _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

The question that needs to be answered is, BIGGUS RIDES A LORRY, its red and white and is otherwise known as a CB1300. I have to give him though, he can sure hustle it. _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

No tow bar, and at £ 400 (includes a special sub frame) and getting a new RR later this year, I do not want to waste the money |
