Reserach shows that there is a shiny and gleaming SV650 for sale, in RED. So now what is the big man up to? _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

Well, we've just had a cracking weekend in Cornwall with the Walmeister and Fiance.
.......but, I worry for his sanity for he is placing much faith in a certain Gamma
It does look better for a coat of paint though....and I can talk, seeing as a certain other SV has a rather rattly crank....doh! Apparently running them upside down isn't too good for crank/bearing life.

I agree, too much faith in ye olde gamma I think, hes a brave man indeed.
And Dave, why did you run your bike upside down? Mine has a cut out in it (they are supposed to) so once it goes over too far, it cuts out and doesn't run. _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

Carbies don't have a tilt switch. Not normally an issue as the bikes cut out or marshalls are quick. the crashes at Cadwell and Snetts were both along way from the marshalls and i wasn't close, and the bugger kept running. Crank is showing signs of some serious overheating. Apparently it happens quickly when not running in the oil bath. Just awaiting news on condition of pistons. Head/barrell is fine, cranks are cheap, pistons are not cheap....fingers crossed.

Obviously you are not going to crash again Dave, but shouldn't you consider the kill tilt switch. I thought that under the rules you were supposed to have one fitted?
Lets hope that the damage isn't too bad for you, think you have spent enough already this season _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

It isn't standard so doesn't need to be there.
Certainly spent enough this year. Upgrades have been a reasonable price but the crash damage has been over the top. First crash at Cadwell was unfortunate 'cos bike flipped. Second crash not even my fault yet both have probably been my most expensive ever

Perhaps you should consider fitting one though?
Yep, been a tad on the expensive front for you. Just as a rough idea, how much? _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO

I won't see much change out of £6k for upgrades and repairs. Only run at 5 rounds and the first of those was on a bog standard bike (53.0 at Brands though )
It's all about 2008.
