Just got back from the 3 day test session at Ledenon in South of France. Fabulous track, a real roller coaster, kind of like Paddock Hill, the Moutain, Dingle Dell etc. all linked up. Only 35 bikes there with open pit lane!
First day was dry in the morning which was good for learning the circuit. It pissed down in the afternoon and most of us went out and did lots of laps on the Wets. In one session alone i took 7 seconds off my lap time so it was well worth the soaking.
Second day start was delayed until 11am due to fog. When the circuit cleared it was still very damp so it was out on the Wets. Once again it was great practice to see just how quickly you can go on full wets. Fortunatley the track was cold so it didn't overheat the tyres. The afternoon was a scorcher. sadly i lost most of it with a leaking oil seal on the final drive sprocket. TiM bodged it up with PTFE tape and it held for the rest of the test. Top man.
Friday was another scorcher, t-shirt weather shades and sunburn. Really picked the pace up. Don't think I've ever ridden so quickly. TiM's coaching helped as did the encouragement of a couple of other quicker riders. It has to be said that Wal setting a very rapid lap time set me a target which I gritted my teeth and beat !!!!
There were 8 minitwinners there. Myself, Wal, TiM, Bill henderson, Phil Sabin, Will Foster, Paul Barlow, and Ian Soileux, plus a couple of 400s (Grev and Moosey).
Roll on Snetterton!!

Sounds like you had a great time. I have not had wets on the SV yet. Rode for the first time on them last year on the ZX7, they were awesome on that heavy beast.
I agree, roll on Snetterton, thats the race and not my licence aquiring day tomorrow.
Got any pics David? If so, let me have them and I can post them up. _________________ MUTANT NINJA HERO
