I fitted the following:
PCIII USB (with the help of Duncan)
Set of S/Steel Carbon Cans Co. zorsts
K&N Filter with modified air box
disconnected the goddamn AIS (Air Induction System)
I junked the Air Snorkel on top of the air box
The bike suffered from a lot of surging before, it used to cut out at the lights a lot i believe is a common issue with big singles but all that is a thing of the past now and it has a much better acceleration throughout the range without any dead spots thanks to the custom map that PDQ did for it.
here's a video of it |

that is a bit difficult to tell you accurately, because by the time I took the bike to be mapped I already had the pcIII, the cans and the filter fitted so I can't tell you what hp I was getting before the mods all i know that as stated in the original bike specs the hp was a mere 47-48bhp (if that) now after the mods I got it up to 51bhp but that is with the baffles in, If i take the baffles out I could get a little bit more, but you see the thing about this bike is torque not top end, its not a racer sportsbike, so what I got for the money is noticable more in the midrange and in the correct functioning, and the in fuel consumption. Thats not to say that the bike ain't quick from the start, I leave behind all kinds of bikes at the lights and I can throw it in a corner at a speed and angle most rider would get goosebumps seeing me. I got some extremely grippy Avons Azaro proextreeme rain that are unbeleavable in both wet and gravel. |
